Mark centers his career on tax planning and consulting for high net worth individuals and their underlying businesses and investments. He has a unique ability among accountants to bring a businessman’s prospective to client problems and situations. His areas of expertise include hedge funds and investment planning for broker/dealers, retail businesses, forensic accounting, tax structuring and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, real estate, exporting, manufacturing and franchising.
Mark earned his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated cum laude. He received his graduate degree at Fordham University Graduate School of Business where he earned his Masters in Taxation. He is licensed as a CPA in the state of New York and also holds a NASD series 27 (Financial and Operations Principal) license.
Mark has been quoted in numerous merger-related and technical articles in Newsday, Long Island Business, and various industry periodicals. He is a frequent speaker on assorted topics at industry seminars.
Prior to joining Janover in 1990 and becoming co-managing partner in 200, Mr. Goodman was an audit supervisor with Arthur Anderson. He was the former Chairman of the Stock Brokerage Committee of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as a member of the Society’s managing partner committee.
Mark is also very active in the community as President of the Men’s division of the Children’s Medical Fund and as a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), an international executive leadership group.
Mr. Goodman is an avid tennis player and golfer. Mark and his wife Kim live in Roslyn with their two daughters Madison and Jami.
