Joseph is a member of the Accounting and Review Services Committee of the AICPA, which establishes compilation and review standards for the profession. He also has extensive experience in the areas of entertainment, theatre arts, and sports industries.

Joe received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Iona College. He is a member of the adjunct faculty of Hunter College where he teaches auditing and advanced auditing in their graduate and undergraduate programs.

Joe currently serves on an AICPA Task Force that is developing a practice aid for practitioners on providing bookkeeping services. He has performed technical review for the 2007/2008 CCH Compilation and Reviews book and has reviewed several accounting textbooks.

Joe has an impressive amount of participation on various non-profit boards such as the Board of Community Free Software Group, Inc., a trustee of the Morris-Jumel Mansion Museum, and executive committee member of the Metropolitan Republican Club in New York City. He has served on the  Board of Directors and was treasurer of The Alliance for New York State Arts Organizations, and Arts Action New York. Joe is also part of many committees including past chairman of the Accounting and Review Services Committee and Entertainment and Sports Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He currently serves on the Financial Accounting Standards Board of the NYSSCPA.
