Steve is responsible for royalty auditing and business management services as well as general accounting and tax services for entertainment industry clients. In addition, he consults with clients and their attorneys on valuing intellectual property as well as contractual provisions for royalties and profit participations and has appeared as an expert witness in connection with royalty disputes.
Steve’s clients and experience have included many well known names in the business including Aerosmith, Joseph Arthur, The Beatles, Bert Berns, Michael Bolton, Susanne Ciani, Jim Croce, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Givenchy, Magnetic Fields, Mya, Murrah Music, Jack Nicholas, Laura Nyro, Arnold Palmer, Gene Pitney, Phish, Doc Pomus, Salt n Pepa, Sevendust, Stax Records/East Memphis Music, B.J. Thomas, The Shirelles, Vertical Horizon, Jimmy Webb, and Tiger Woods.
Steve has served on the Entertainment & Sports Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1988 where he was Chairman from 1997-1998. He has led panels at the annual NYSS of CPA’s conference as well as for the New York Bar Association and the Association of Independent Music Publishers. Currently, Steve is Treasurer of the Association of Independent Music Publishers.
