Garden City, NY – Barry Sunshine, a partner at Janover LLC, will be speaking at the 2014 Long Island Tax Professionals Symposium on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Barry’s speech, entitled “Reading a Hedge Fund K-1” will review what you as the tax preparer needs to understand and do when your client invests in a hedge fund.
Robert Goldfarb, CPA, a principal at Janover LLC, is the symposium chair for the event. The Long Island Tax Professionals Symposium is in its 12th year and has established itself as a forum for tax professionals to network and gain valuable information on the ever changing tax laws.
The event takes place at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY on November 19, 20, 21, 2014. The symposium offers more than 80 sessions, with more than 700 attendees and dozens of highly qualified instructors.
The symposium is sponsored in conjunction with the IRS. It is the IRS’ largest event in the Northeast Region with more than 650 paying Tax Professionals in attendance. In addition to the IRS and the Nassau/Suffolk Chapters of NCCPAP, the Symposium is co-sponsored with seven other related organizations representing a broad spectrum of the Tax Professional community.
