Intern

Sabrina has been an intern with Janover for five months. While interning during the school year, Janover was very flexible around Sabrina’s school schedule. Janover believes that school comes first, it is where a person gains the knowledge that is the foundation for their professional career. Sabrina heard about Janover through a classmate and through recruiting sessions at Hofstra University. Sabrina was attracted to Janover because it was a more intimate mid-size firm where she would benefit from a more personal experience and be part of a team where she could make a difference. At Janover, she was mentored and trained by the entire staff, ranging from interns to partners. She has learned the basics of tax preparation, auditing and how to get through the pressure of tax season. Sabrina has gained experience by working with several clients and shadowing partners in the company. She is graduating from Hofstra University in December and plans to work full time with Janover.

Entry Level Accountant

Greg began his career with Janover as an intern four years ago. Greg has gained experience and knowledge and now works hands-on with clients. He has learned an incredible amount from the mentoring of senior staff. He now works entirely on the tax side of Janover – filing returns and engaging in client relationships. Greg describes the atmosphere at Janover as relaxed, yet serious. He praises Janover for their commitment to client relationships and continued success in several areas of expertise. Greg understands that the field of accounting can sometimes feel limitless. He hopes that by learning more and more each day, he can improve his ability to provide clients with the highest level of service.

Senior Manager

Barry works closely with both larger and smaller clients of Janover. He enjoys working at Janover because of the diversity of his responsibilities. Working with clients from different industries, Barry has the opportunity to be challenged and obtain a high level of knowledge in several different industries. He praises Janover for their acceptance and acknowledgment of varying opinions. Communication skills, Barry says, are key to success at Janover. Clients always come first and being able to make the connection with clients is of utmost importance to the success of the firm. Janover is a company that has employees of all ages, but focuses on bringing youth into the accounting firm. Barry believes that this emphasis on bringing the youth voice to the firm is unique and refreshing. It allows the firm as a whole to remain current and to circulate knowledge throughout the office. The Janover office is relaxed, challenging and demanding. Barry’s hard work personifies the Janover spirit at the senior manager level.
