Janover Names Dominic Rovano Co-Partner in Charge of Their New York City Office

Janover announced that firm partner Dominic Rovano, CPA will assume the role of Co-Partner-in-Charge of Janover’s growing New York City office, effective January 1, 2020. Mr. Rovano joins Alan Hoffman, CPA who has been in this role since 2015, in implementing the firm’s strategic plan, ensuring efficient and responsive client service, overseeing growth, and attracting and retaining the best talent. This move is part of a planned transition which will allow Mr. Hoffman to devote more attention to Janover’s growing real estate practice.

“It has been my honor and privilege over the last 5 years to be the Partner-in-charge of the New York Office,” Mr. Hoffman said in an announcement to the firm. “During this time Janover’s New York office has grown over 50%, and therefore the management of the office has taken more of my time.   Therefore, the executive committee has asked Dominic Rovano, who is seen as a leader in the firm, to serve with me as the co-partner in charge of the NYC office – his vision for the firm matches what we see for Janover; continued growth and autonomy through the leveraging of technology and the embracing of industry specialization,” Mr. Hoffman added.

“Dominic and I will work together over the coming years as he continues to assume more responsibilities with managing the New York office. Rest assured, I will still be involved and will continue to be part of the Janover management team on a going forward basis, as well as continuing to serve on the executive committee and the Partner Compensation Committee. Our Real Estate department is the largest practice group at the firm,” Mr. Hoffman stated. “I can add more value in this critical practice area by sharing my management responsibilities with Dominic.”

Mr. Rovano, a resident of Westchester County, has been with Janover since 2015 and works primarily with privately held businesses across multiple industries, helping them to successfully satisfy their financial reporting requirements by providing assurance, tax and advisory services. At Janover, Mr. Rovano is the leader of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Industry Group, a member of the Construction Committee and a leader of the Technology Committee, where he oversees the firm’s technology initiatives.

Mr. Rovano is an active member of the NYSSCPA where he was recently awarded the 2019 Outstanding State-Wide Committee Chair for his work on the Employee Benefits Committee. Mr. Rovano is currently the Chair of the NYSSCPA state-wide CFO Committee.
