The Janover family is proud to recognize Partner and Certified Public Accountant, Kenneth Rick, for his accomplishments over the years and his dedication to the firm. Ken currently serves on both the Executive Board and the Marketing Committee at Janover.
Prior to merging with the firm in 2007, Ken was the managing partner at Roberts, Rick & Moses, LLP. He has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years and also was active in investment advisory and personal financial planning services for many years.
He has served as a co-chair of the Small Firm MAP (Management of an Accounting Practice) Committee of the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and also served on the Estate and Personal Financial Planning Committee in 2012.
Ken attended the State University of New York at Albany School of Business where he received his bachelor of science in accounting, graduating with honors. He has given several seminars on the use of QuickBooks, marketing strategies, accounting firm management and taxation both internally at Janover and to various CPA Society Committees.
During his career Ken has focused on providing services for privately owned businesses, real estate companies, not for profit organizations and high net worth individuals. He has assisted numerous clients with the introduction and implementation of accounting software to their organizations including bridging specialized industry software with Quickbooks. He has worked on many different not-for-profit engagements including schools, foundations, and trade associations. Ken has supervised audits for hedge funds, 401K plans, and small businesses. He also is actively engaged in researching and introducing creative tax strategies to both his business and individual clients. Ken lives in Dix Hills, Long Island where he is also active in various local charities.
