Michael Gershon, CPA, is a Partner at Janover with over 25 years of experience. Focusing primarily on high net worth individuals, family groups and closely held businesses, Michael provides income tax planning and compliance, business advisory services, succession planning, and wealth preservation planning.
Michael has extensive experience integrating the business, income tax, and estate and succession planning objectives of multigenerational family groups. He advises clients on a wide range of tax-related issues with an emphasis toward reducing their overall income tax and estate tax liability.
Michael has authored various articles on tax related topics for the CPA Journal and Crain’s New York. He has been a presenter and panelist numerous times on Qualified Opportunity Zones. He also led various seminars on reporting losses from ponzi schemes for CCH and other industry groups.
Michael earned both a Master’s Degree in Taxation and an MBA in Public Accounting from Fordham University. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University. Michael is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs.
