A former Janover LLC Managing Partner, Michael Goodman provides tax advice, income tax planning, estate planning and corporate structure services. He is known at the firm and throughout the public accounting community for his creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. Clients have long appreciated that Michael’s breadth and depth of knowledge translate into solutions and strategies that will protect them and advance their best interests.
A highly regarded subject matter expert, Michael lectures widely and frequently on the taxation of partnerships, estates and trusts. He has also been quoted in and interviewed for a number of industry-related articles in leading publications.
Michael is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs. Prior to joining Janover LLC in 1969, he practiced engineering in the aerospace industry and worked as a consultant. His engineering background has informed his practice and given him the expertise to perform cost segregation studies requiring extensive knowledge of real property, construction and tax law.
Michael earned a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree from The City University of New York, a Master of Business Administration degree from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
Above all, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two grown children, assorted in-laws and four grandchildren.
