Richard Feldman, CPAPrincipal
Richard is a Principal at Janover LLC, working out of the firm’s Garden City office. He has over 25 years of public accounting experience. He specializes in tax planning, consulting and compliance for closely held businesses and their owners as well as high net worth individuals and family groups, including trusts and estates. He provides tax services to clients in numerous industries, including real estate, health care, retail, manufacturing and distribution. He also has extensive experience handling tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service, New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and various other state and local government agencies.
A well-recognized expert in various taxation matters, Richard is a frequent speaker and author on timely tax-related topics with a special focus on state and local tax issues. He provides firm guidance in various areas including Nexus, multistate tax filings, state apportionment and sourcing, sales and use tax, state withholding tax and change of state residency issues.
Richard received his Bachelors in Accounting from Yeshiva University, Sy Syms School of Business and his Masters in Taxation from Long Island University, C.W. Post. He is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPA’s where he currently serves on the New York, Multistate and Local Taxation Committee.
Richard is active in his synagogue, where he currently serves as president. He spends his free time with his wife, children and adorable grandchildren.
